Safety when selling a vehicle

Never leave a potential buyer alone with your vehicle.

Do not give them the keys to your car or let them borrow any of your documentation. If you have a keyless fob for your car, we advise you keep hold of it and not to hand it over to anyone until the sale transaction has been completed. This includes on a test drive.

Always accompany potential buyers if you let them have a test drive and ensure that you supervise any inspection they make of your vehicle.

It is good practice to ask any potential buyers to bring their driving licence along with them, especially if they want to test drive your car.

If you allow anyone to test drive your car and they are not licenced to drive you are also comitting an offence.

Business sellers who use our platform do have their details displayed to potential customers as it is in their interest to be easily accessible to potential buyers.

If you suspect any message has not been sent by us, do not click any links contained within the email and visit the website via a web browser, ensuring the url is displayed as www.prestigemotorwarehouse.co.uk with https:// at the beginning with a padlock symbol showing that the site is secure.

PMW does not handle vehicles or payments

We do not offer or recommend any payment or shipping services and we do not own any of the cars for sale on our platform. We do not buy or sell any of the vehicles that can be found by using the PMW platform.
